Coding Champions Convene: CUET Hosts National High School Programming Contest 2025

The National High School Programming Contest 2025 was successfully held at the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on Tuesday, June 17. The closing ceremony of the event took place at CUET’s central auditorium, where Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmood Abdul Matin Bhuiyan attended as the chief guest.

Special guests included Professor Dr. Kazi Delowar Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mohammad Golam Kibria, Joint Secretary (Law and Policy Division) of the ICT Division.

The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Pranab Kumar Dhar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Lecturer Ayesha Banu delivered the welcome speech, while Mr. Shihab Zishan, coordinator of the National High School Programming Contest, moderated the program.

In his address, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Bhuiyan stated, “It is the youth who will lead a prosperous and strong Bangladesh in the future. Through research, innovation, and a blend of industrial and technological expertise, we aim to nurture students not just as skilled professionals, but as scientists, researchers, doctors, engineers, and technologists with strong human values. While technology is an essential part of our lives, it should never replace our humanity. Our younger generation must be vigilant that they use technology—never the other way around.”

The competition was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at CUET, with joint support from the ICT Division and the Bangladesh Computer Council.
