Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) achieved the prestigious position of 2nd Champion at the national 'Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026', held from September 12–14 at the Novotheatre in the capital. To celebrate the milestone, the university organized a colorful rally and brief assembly on campus on Tuesday (September 15).
The rally commenced at 12:00 PM from the Administrative Building, winding through major campus roads and academic buildings. Addressing the post-rally gathering, JUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yaearul Kabir highlighted that the award validates the world-class research standard nurtured at JUST. He added, "The Ministry of Science and Technology has expressed keen interest in commercializing our research products for public welfare." Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan and Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Faruque Hossain reaffirmed the administration's commitment to supporting future innovations.
Themed 'Innovate to Market', the fair brought together over 73 public and private universities. JUST’s showcase featured advanced technologies including Nano-Urea, smart sensors for food security, nano-carrier drugs, next-gen prebiotics, and direct hydrogen production from water. Notably, the 'Nano-Urea' project—led by Prof. Dr. Md.
