Still Indispensable for Certain Uses

Pen drives have survived not only because of their low cost but also because of their usefulness in specific situations. There is still no real substitute for a pen drive when creating a bootable drive to install Windows or another operating system on a new computer. They are also useful for carrying computer repair tools and can easily be attached to a key ring for convenient portability. Therefore, even in the era of high-speed SSDs, pen drives are unlikely to disappear from the market anytime soon.
