Samar Saha, a work assistant at the Project Implementation Officer’s (PIO) office in Madhabpur, Habiganj, has been stand released following heavy criticism over a political remark posted on Facebook.
The controversy arose on Tuesday evening when a photo card regarding news of former Prime Minister's statements was published on a national daily's Facebook page.
Madhabpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Mehedi Hasan and PIO Md. Nur Mamun confirmed the disciplinary measure, stating that higher authorities took swift action as soon as the cyber incident was brought to their attention.
Repeated phone calls to Samar Saha for a response went unanswered.
