Netflix is testing a limited free trial program for selected new users, allowing eligible subscribers to watch movies, series, and documentaries without charge for a limited period. The offer is not available to everyone and is automatically determined based on the user's account, device, and location. Eligible users may receive trial periods of 7, 14, or 30 days during sign-up.
According to the Netflix Help Center, the promotional offer appears automatically during registration only for qualifying users. If no trial option is displayed, the account is not currently eligible for the ongoing test.
To access the trial, users need to create a new account through the official Netflix website or mobile app. If an offer such as "Try 30 Days for ₹0" or a similar free-trial banner appears, they can choose a subscription plan, add a valid payment method, and begin streaming during the trial period.
Users should cancel their subscription before the trial expires if they do not wish to continue. Otherwise, Netflix will automatically charge the selected subscription fee.
Netflix discontinued its global 30-day free trial program in 2020. Nearly six years later, the company has begun testing the return of free trials in selected international markets to attract new subscribers. The program remains experimental and is not available in all countries or to all users.
