The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has promoted eight of its officials to Grade 6 under the National Pay Scale 2015. The promotions were made in accordance with the BTRC (Employees) Service Regulations, 2022 and based on the recommendations of the Promotion Committee.
The information was announced through an official order signed by BTRC Director General (Administration) Md. Mehedi Ul-Sahid on July 30, 2026.
According to the order, the promotions were approved at the commission's 309th meeting held on July 27. The officials have been promoted from the positions of Assistant Director and Private Secretary to the post of Senior Assistant Director under Grade 6 of the National Pay Scale 2015, carrying a salary scale of Tk 35,500–67,010.
Promoted Officials
The officials promoted to Grade 6 are:
- Mohammad Rubel Mia, Finance, Accounts and Revenue Division.
- Shahadat Hossain, Engineering and Operations Division.
- Amina Parveen, Engineering and Operations Division.
- Md. Zobayer Hossain, Legal and Licensing Division.
- Kallol Barua, Enforcement and Inspection Division.
- Md. Ariful Islam, Administration Division.
- Md. Mofizul Islam, Administration Division.
- Md. Robiul Islam, Private Secretary.
The promotions will take effect from the date the officials formally assume their new responsibilities. The promoted officers have been instructed to report to the Chairman of BTRC to complete the joining formalities.
