Deputy Director and Deputy Assistant Directors assigned to Spectrum and Systems & Services Divisions
BTRC Reshuffles Administration: Three Officials Transferred and Posted
According to an official office order issued on July 2, 2026, by the BTRC Administration Division, a Deputy Director and two Deputy Assistant Directors have been instructed to join their respective newly assigned departments immediately. Issued with the approval of competent authorities, this order comes into effect immediately.
In a bid to enhance corporate productivity and streamline administrative operations, the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has issued transfer and posting orders for three of its officials. The restructuring was announced via an official office order released by the BTRC Administration Division dated July 2, 2026 (18 Asharh 1433 Bangabda).
The order, signed by Selina Parveen, Deputy Director (HR Development and Management) of BTRC, states that until further notice, the designated officials have been transferred, posted, or attached to the respective divisions and branches mentioned alongside their names.
The transferred and posted officials are
-
Mr. Mohammad Firoz Miah (Deputy Director): Previously stationed at the Spectrum Monitoring Station in Khulna, he has now been transferred and posted to the 'Systems & Services' Division at the BTRC headquarters.
-
Mr. Parvez Ahmed (Deputy Assistant Director): Formerly serving in the 'Enforcement & Inspection Directorate', he has been reassigned to the core 'Spectrum' Division.
-
Mr. Md. Hafizur Rahman (Deputy Assistant Director): Previously attached to the 'Office of the Chairman', he has also been transferred to the 'Spectrum' Division under the new administrative order.
The directive strictly specifies that the aforementioned officials must report and join their newly assigned divisions, branches, or offices with immediate effect. The notice confirms that the order has been formulated with the formal consent of the higher authority and will be legally binding immediately.
Official copies of this notification have already been forwarded to the Director General of the Spectrum Division, the Commission Secretary, the Private Secretary to the BTRC Chairman, and all other relevant internal desks for seamless execution.
Earlier, on April 15, the High Court bench of Justices Akram Hossain Chowdhury and A F M Saiful Karim stayed the transfer orders of two officials who had filed a writ petition regarding 'illegal appointments and promotions' at BTRC. The court's order suspended for two months the effectiveness of the transfer orders of Sanjib Kumar Sinha and S.M. Afzal Reza, two of BTRC's six deputy directors, who were unfairly and unlawfully transferred outside Dhaka. One month prior, on February 15, an office order signed by Mohammad Ashraful Alam, Deputy Director (Administration) of the Commission, reorganized the duties of 20 individuals across various departments. That order involved transferring 10 deputy director-level officials, four out of 21 senior assistant director-level officials, and six officials from other positions to different departments.
