To make quality digital education more accessible and affordable for students across the country, leading telecommunications operator Grameenphone has partnered with edtech platform Shikho.
On Tuesday, 28 April, the operator announced that the agreement was recently signed at an event held at GP House. The signing ceremony was attended by Grameenphone Chief Product Officer Solayman Alam and Shikho Founder and Chief Executive Officer Shahir Chowdhury, along with senior officials from both organizations.
Under this partnership, Grameenphone will integrate Shikho’s premium mathematics course into its digital services via the MyGP App. As a result, students will be able to access the course at a discounted price. The initiative is expected to benefit students from classes six to ten, particularly those preparing for the SSC examinations.
Grameenphone Chief Product Officer Solayman Alam said that amid the growing demand for digital education, this collaboration will help ensure inclusive learning opportunities. Through high-quality educational content, connectivity, and seamless payment systems on the MyGP platform, the country’s 22.3 million monthly active users will be able to easily enroll in the course.
Shikho Founder and CEO Shahir Chowdhury noted that technology becomes truly effective when learning, discovery, and payment are seamlessly integrated in one place. He added that this initiative with Grameenphone will create new opportunities for millions of students.
