The much-anticipated film Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for theatrical release on 31 July. However, even before its release, the trailer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film has set a new global record on the internet.

Released on 17 March, the trailer reached the milestone of 1 billion views within just four days. According to WaveMetrix, this historic record was officially registered on 24 March.

Previously, the record for the most views within 24 hours was held by Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. After its release during the Super Bowl event in February 2024, it garnered 365 million views on its first day. Before that, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home had recorded 355 million views within 24 hours.

Breaking all previous records, Brand New Day set a new benchmark by achieving 718.6 million views within the first 24 hours.

The trailer also highlights the chemistry between Peter Parker and MJ (Zendaya). However, a new twist reveals that while MJ has moved forward in her life, she no longer remembers Peter. On the other hand, although Peter still holds deep affection for her, he maintains distance to keep her out of danger. The trailer overall suggests a solitary struggle and hints at a transformation in Spider-Man’s character.
