Three-Day ‘Televerse 1.0’ Concludes at CUET with National-Level Competitions
The three-day event “Televerse 1.0” has concluded at the central auditorium of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). Organized by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE), the event featured four national-level competitions. More than 300 students from 34 universities across the country participated. At the closing ceremony held on Sunday, November 23, prizes were distributed among the winners, followed by the unveiling of the “Teletales” magazine.
Before the unveiling, CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan delivered his speech. As chief guest, he said that in today’s rapidly changing global technology landscape, the world is experiencing significant demand for technological expertise. Fields such as networking, machine learning, and artificial intelligence carry immense potential. Bangladesh is progressing forward as part of this technological advancement. In this era of information and technology, the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) represents the architect of modern life. Those entering this fast-evolving sector will lead the creation of a technology-driven world. He further stated that initiatives like the ETE department’s event at CUET will greatly enhance students’ education, experience, research, and innovative capabilities, helping prepare them as future technology leaders.
Special guests at the ceremony included former Pro-Vice Chancellor of KUET (Khulna University of Engineering and Technology) Professor Dr. Sheikh Shariful Alam, Director of UCERL and Professor of the EEE Department at CUET Dr. Mohammad Ahsan Ullah, and Head of the Power Division Professor Dr. Md. Zahedul Islam.
Speakers also included Professor Dr. Md. Azad Hossain of the ETE Department, and Mr. Md. Farhad Hossain, Assistant Professor of ETE and Convener of the event.
The programme was conducted by ETE students: Mishu Mitra Jeki (Batch 20), Nabila Sultana, Nishat Sayera, Md. Hasibul Islam Jihad (Batch 21), and Minhazur Rahman Hasib (Batch 23).
