Starlink Spurs Smart Students in Hill Tracts
Adviser to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Supradip Chakma, has said that students in the Hill Tracts will be taught to use modern technology so that they can become smarter, integrate with the country’s mainstream, and bring honor to Bangladesh.
He stated, “At the direction of the Chief Adviser, plans have been taken to introduce Starlink technology in the hill region to bring educational institutions under a computer network.” He emphasized the continued use of modern technology to keep the education system up to date.
Adviser Supradip Chakma further said, “To make students digital and modern, emphasis must be given to mathematics, English, and science. Skilled and trained teachers will be appointed in these subjects, and there will be no compromise in teacher recruitment.”
This initiative is expected to open a new horizon for students in the hill region.
On Saturday, August 23, after inaugurating the newly built main gate (arch) of Khagrachhari Government High School, Supradip Chakma made these remarks during an exchange meeting held at the office of the school’s head teacher.
The event was attended by Khagrachhari Hill District Council Chairperson Shefalika Tripura, Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam Khondokar, the adviser’s Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary) Khondokar Mushfikur Rahman, Police Superintendent Arefin Jewel, the adviser’s Assistant Private Secretary (Senior Assistant Secretary) Shubhashish Chakma, Acting Head Teacher of Khagrachhari Government High School Md. Jalal Islam, General Secretary of the Press Club HM Prafulla, members of the Hill District Council, along with teachers and students of the school.
