YouTube Trends: Shakib Khan Dominates Amid strong Indian Presence
Over the past few weeks, several songs from films and independent artists have been released on YouTube, garnering varied attention. While Bangladeshi songs lag behind in trending lists, actor Shakib Khan's prominence on screen is noteworthy, appearing in four out of the top ten trending tracks (ranked 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 10th).
As of Friday afternoon, YouTube Bangladesh’s trending chart reflects this trend.
Topping the list is the Indian film Stree 2’s song Aaj Ki Raat. However, second place is claimed by the Bangladeshi track Tumi Amar Apon Hoila Na, written and composed by AB Babu, sung by Jhinu, with music arranged by Munshi Jewel.
The 3rd spot is occupied by the Hindi track Jism Mein Tere from the movie Dard, sung by Mohammad Irfan. Another song from the same film, Loot Le Tu, ranks 5th, with both tracks featuring Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan on screen.
Bangladeshi representation begins at 7th place with Ore Pagol Mon, released seven days ago on Tiger Media's YouTube channel as part of the promotional campaign for Dard. Composed by Savvy, penned by Jalal Chowdhury, and sung by Konal and Noble, the song—featuring Shakib Khan—has garnered 103,000 views.
Other Bangladeshi songs on the list include Amay Chhaira Jaiyo Na, a duet by Sultana Mim and Zahid, ranked 8th, and Tiktok-er Cheleder Preme Poro Na, sung by Camelia Afrin, in 9th place.
The 10th spot is held by Zindegi Tujhse, another track from Dard, sung by Raj Barman and composed by Arafat Mehmood, with Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan appearing in the video.
International tracks also maintain strong positions, with Honey Singh’s Payal featuring Nora Fatehi ranking 4th, and Ami Je Tomar 3.0 from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, performed by Shreya Ghoshal, at 6th place.
This week’s trending list reflects a mix of regional and international influence, with Shakib Khan’s consistent presence showcasing his growing dominance in both local and cross-border projects.
