Workshop on Scientific Research and Higher Studies Held at JUST

The Department of Chemical Engineering at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized a training workshop titled “Scientific Research Paper Writing and Higher Studies” on Wednesday. The event was held at the university’s central gallery with the participation of students from various departments.

The Treasurer of JUST, Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun, attended the workshop as the chief guest. In his address to the students, he emphasized the importance of a well-defined research title, stating:
“A research title is crucial in any study and can be modified at any stage of the research process. At the outset, you must ask yourself: Why are you conducting this research? Who is it for? How will you execute it? Answering these questions will make your research more impactful.”

Encouraging students to remain dedicated to their aspirations, he further stated:
“Dreams are the fruits of ambition. You must take responsibility for shaping your own future. Your parents have worked hard to bring you this far, and now it is your turn to be mindful of your time and strive to fulfill your ambitions.”

The keynote speaker of the workshop was Dr. Saidur Rahman, a distinguished research professor at Sunway University, Malaysia, and a visiting professor at JUST’s Department of Chemical Engineering. He provided insightful research-based information and practical guidance on higher education opportunities related to the workshop’s theme.

The event also featured remarks from special guest Dr. Md. Amjad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Professor Dr. Md. Javed Hossain Khan, Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Convener of the Workshop. Dr. Md. Rafiul Hasan, Associate Professor and Organizing Secretary of the workshop, also addressed the participants.

The workshop was attended by faculty members and students from various departments. The event was moderated by Maria Rahman Mitu and Tafsir Ahmed Naik, both final-year students of the Department of Chemical Engineering.
