Tech Carnival begins at Dhaka Residential Model College
"ICT Division Presents 6th DRMC Petromex Refinery Limited International Tech Carnival-2023" started at Dhaka Residential Model College on Thursday. More than 5000 students from more than 300 renowned schools, colleges and universities of the country are participating in various innovative project display, programming contest, website display, line following robot, logo design, tech article writing, etc. events in this three-day carnival. Besides, the portfolio of iDEA projects of the ICT department is showcasing 10 startups and hundreds of innovative projects of talented students.
In the morning Brigadier General Kazi Shamim Farhad, Principal of Dhaka Residential Model College inaugurated the carnival along with Md Altaf Hossain, project director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Academy Establishment Project under Bangladesh Computer Council of Information and Communication Technology Department.
Siddharth Goswami, Senior Consultant of iDEA Project, Communications Consultant Sohag Chandra Das, Consultant Md Momenul Islam, Associate Professor Mohammad Noorunnabi, Chief Coordinator of DRMC's College Clubs, Russel Ahmed, Lecturer of ICT Department and Carnival Convener, Government and Private High Officials, Invited guests, parents, students, teachers, officers and employees of various educational institutions were also present in the opening ceremony.
A special seminar on 'Smart Bangladesh' was held after the inauguration of the Tech Carnival.
The organizer of this year's tech carnival, Innovation Expo 2023, is the iDEA Project of the Bangladesh Computer Council of the Department of Information and Communication Technology.
This three-day tech carnival is organized to involve the young generation in the future planning of Smart Bangladesh and to encourage the youth to implement the Vision of 2041. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak will grace the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest of the three-day event on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
