Palak emphasized transparency and accountability in delivering grants

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak stressed transparency and accountability in delivering all government grants to the people and said strict action would be taken against those involved in any irregularities and corruption in the allocation. He urged all concerned to be vigilant about irregularities and inconsistencies in the allocation. The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at a function organized by the Upazila administration at Singra Upazila Parishad hall on Wednesday where he distributed the DO of taka 16 lakh 65 thousand in favor of various religious and educational organizations. He also distributed the Eid gifts to Imams and muajjins of 70 mosques in the municipal area. The state minister said the development work of mosques, madrasas and cemeteries which has been done by the present government in the last 12 years has not been done even in the last 50 years of period. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina worked hard for the development of Islam. Which no other government has done in the past. "I never consider myself a member of parliament or a minister," he said, “I am a servant of the people. I want to work as your servant.” Md. Rakibul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Maulana Ruhul Amin, Secretary, Religious affairs of Awami League and others were present in the program while Upazila Nirbahi Officer MM Samirul Islam presided over the program.
