Solutions Target Real-World Challenges
DIU Students Showcase 16 AI Innovations
- Sixteen AI projects presented at Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026
- Innovations address education, healthcare, agriculture, industry and security
- Students from three departments showcased practical technology solutions
Students of Daffodil International University (DIU) showcased 16 artificial intelligence-based projects addressing practical challenges in education, healthcare, agriculture, the garment industry, security and urban infrastructure at the Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026, held on Thursday, November 5. The projects demonstrated how AI could be applied to assess educational outcomes, monitor disease risks, evaluate soil health, manage industrial operations and support safer communication.
According to the university, students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) presented six projects.
‘OBE AI’ is an AI-powered platform designed to assess the quality of outcome-based education and monitor the achievement of intended learning outcomes across courses and academic programmes. ‘Imam AI’ is an artificial intelligence-based platform supporting Islamic knowledge and research.
‘NutriSoil’ uses real-time data from soil sensors to assess soil health through AI. ‘DengueCluster AI’ focuses on monitoring dengue conditions and identifying areas at risk of infection. ‘Shilpo AI ERP’ is a predictive, AI-driven management system designed for Bangladesh’s garment factories. ‘YoFlare’ is an AI-based ecosystem for identifying skills and connecting talent with business opportunities.
Students from the Department of Software Engineering presented three projects. ‘FifthEye AI’ is an intelligent examination assessment platform. ‘NeuroCluster AI’ combines AI-powered MRI analysis with hospital computing management. ‘ClinicBD’ is a digital initiative focused on healthcare services.
Students from the Department of Computing and Information Systems presented seven projects.
‘Arbor’ is a voice-based communication technology designed for mothers who are unable to speak. ‘Prohori AI’ is an AI system that monitors screens and helps identify and prevent potential incidents. ‘SmartBorder’ uses aerial surveillance technology to provide early warnings on the ground.
The department’s other projects included ‘ArchiMind AI’, an intelligence-based platform for built infrastructure; ‘LeadGenius AI’, an AI-driven customer management system focused on customer data control and privacy; ‘Eon’, an explainable AI decision-making system for founders; and ‘Kupi’.
Across the 16 projects, students demonstrated applications of AI in education, healthcare, agriculture, industry, entrepreneurship, security, communication and urban infrastructure. The initiatives reflect efforts to move beyond theoretical learning and develop technology-based solutions to practical challenges.
