- Features 3 thematic seminars, 142 exhibition stalls, and participation from 3 countries
To accelerate the country's technology-driven economy and enhance national capabilities, the day-long 'Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026' is set to be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. This international-standard summit is jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). Ahead of the event, final preparations and stall setups are underway overnight at the venue.
Global economic transformation is taking place centered around Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the era of the ongoing fourth industrial revolution. Keeping this reality in mind, the core theme of this year's summit has been set as “AI-fication for Tomorrow's Economy”. The guiding philosophy rests upon the integration of “People • Business • Intelligence”. President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has consented to grace the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.
A total of 3 important thematic sessions or seminars will be held during the day-long conference. The first session, starting at 12:00 PM, will feature detailed discussions by policymakers and experts on the trajectory, policies, skills, and infrastructural challenges of the AI revolution. Simultaneously, the second session at the 'Hall of Fame' will focus on strengthening academia-industry partnerships and technology transfer strategies. Later at 3:00 PM, the third session will examine the role of AI agents as "digital colleagues" and their potential in solving local problems.
The summit features a total of 142 exhibition stalls representing national and international companies, technology providers, and innovators across 3 participating countries (Bangladesh, the United States, and Pakistan). Over 150 startups and tech companies will showcase their innovative concepts and projects. Additionally, innovative stalls featuring AI projects and prototypes run by students from 20 educational institutions (19 universities and 1 college) will be on display. Internationally, 5 foreign exhibitor organizations—1 from the United States and 4 from Pakistan—are participating in the summit.
Approximately 6,000 visitors and 2,000 invited guests will attend the event. Around 27 esteemed speakers, including domestic and international policymakers, industry experts, academics, researchers, corporate figures, and development partner representatives, will address the sessions.
Science and Technology Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain noted that the ministry's activities are driven by four core pillars: expanding STEM education, translating research into market-ready applications, bridging researchers with investors, and advancing AI, semiconductors, and biotechnology. Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Md. Taskeen Ahmed stated that AI is rapidly transforming business, manufacturing, and financial services, making technology adoption essential for maintaining competitiveness in the global economy.
