- Mobile SMS lookup migrated from legacy 16222 short code to designated 16140 channel.
The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations for 2026 were formally published today across web portals and respective educational institutions simultaneously. Minister for Education and Primary & Mass Education Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milan unveiled the result dissemination pipeline during an official ceremony convened at the Ministry of Education on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at 11:00 AM.
The nationwide composite pass rate across all boards registered at 52.12 percent. In comparison with the 2025 performance metric of 58.83 percent, the overall pass percentage recorded a contraction of 6.71 percentage points. A total of 40,084 candidates secured the highest grade point average of GPA-5.00 this year, with 35,948 GPA-5 qualifiers emerging across the nine general education boards.
Online Result Retrieval & Web Portal Access
With administrative workflows shifting toward automated digital dissemination, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee affirmed that hard-copy physical rosters will not be supplied via ministerial offices, regional education boards, or media headquarters.
- Individual Candidate Gateways: Candidates can directly query detailed subject-wise marks and grade sheets by accessing the central government portals: https://eduboardresults.gov.bd and https://educationboardresults.gov.bd, alongside the respective official domains of individual regional boards.
- Institutional Master Sheets: Academic institutions are instructed to retrieve complete center and institutional scorecards by accessing the "Result Corner" on the designated portals, logging in via their assigned Educational Institute Identification Number (EIIN) to download composite result registers.
SMS Retrieval Migrates to New Short Code: 16140
A critical procedural modification has been enforced for mobile SMS queries. Departing from the legacy '16222' short code utilized in previous years, the Education Board has commissioned a new short code—16140—for all automated result queries in 2026.
To fetch results via mobile networks, users must compose an SMS as follows:
HSC <Space> First three letters of Board <Space> Roll Number <Space> 2026 and dispatch it to 16140.
(Example: For Dhaka Board: HSC DHA 123456 2026 sent to 16140. Results are returned via an automated push notification).
The 2026 HSC and equivalent examinations commenced on 2 July 2026. While written assessments were slated to conclude on 8 August, localized weather disruptions forced the rescheduling of multiple papers under the Chattogram Education Board, which were administered at a later date. A total of 1,270,583 regular and irregular candidates registered for this year's examinations, official sources confirmed.
