Voting is underway for the 2026–2028 Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO), a leading trade body representing the country’s business process outsourcing (BPO) and contact centre industry.

Polling began at 10 am on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at a single booth set up at Hotel Empyrean in the Shaheenbagh area of Dhaka. Voting is scheduled to continue until 4 pm, after which the election board will begin counting ballots and announce the preliminary results.

With candidates for the president, general secretary and five other top positions elected unopposed, the main contest is limited to five general director seats. Six entrepreneurs are competing for those positions, and five will secure places on the 12-member executive committee. BACCO has 192 eligible voters.

Six candidates vie for five director seats

The candidates are Mostafa Jamal Yusuf, managing director and CEO of Visor X Limited; Faisal Salam, chairman of Fridaysoft Limited; S. M. Masiur Rahman, director of Ticon System Limited; Mohammad Saiful Islam, founder and CEO of Invicta Solutions Limited; Ashikur Rahman, CEO and founder of Ignite Tech Solutions; and Md Mahmudul Hasan Saikat, CEO of Servify Tech Solutions BD.

Listed from ballot number one to six, the candidates are seeking votes from eligible members, who can select any five of the six names on their ballots. One candidate will therefore miss out on a seat.

Election board and observers oversee polling

A three-member election board is overseeing the voting process. Saiful Islam Siddique, managing director of ICC Communication Limited, is serving as its chairman. The other members are Habibul Haque, director of operations at Next Online Limited, and S. M. Monjurul Islam, CEO of Tech Point BPO.

A separate three-member appeal board is responsible for reviewing legal and election-related appeals. Its chairman is Monirul Islam, chairman of Velocita Infosys Limited. The members are Emrazina Islam, proprietor of Emrazina Technologies, and Faisal Ahmed, managing partner of Messrs Fire and Safety Management.

Representing the Ministry of Commerce, Mohammad Mostafa Jamal Haider, director general (joint secretary) of the Trade Organisations Wing, is serving as chief observer. Chowdhury Samia Yasmin, deputy secretary of the Trade Organisations-2 branch, is an observer, while Shafiqul Islam, an official of the same branch, is serving as assistant observer.

Top leadership elected unopposed

Foysal Alim, managing director of Wintel Limited, has been elected president, while Nahid Hossain, managing director and chief technology officer of Brotecs Technologies, has been elected general secretary. Both secured their positions unopposed.

The other unopposed office-bearers are Syed Sohael Reza, managing director of ADN DigiNet, as senior vice-president; Abdul Qader, managing director of Wisdom Valley, as vice-president; Saima Shawkat, managing director of ASK Telecom, as joint general secretary; Khandaker Atikur Rahman, managing director of Recom Consulting, as treasurer; and Md Ekramul Haider, CEO of Alpha Net, as director representing the associate member category.

Election board chairman Saiful Islam Siddique said voters were arriving in an orderly manner and exercising their voting rights. He added that counting would begin immediately after polling closes at 4 pm, with preliminary results to be announced as soon as possible.
