Offline Admission Begins After Online Process

After completing the online application, selection, confirmation and migration processes, final physical admission of students selected for Class 11 in the 2026–27 academic year has begun at colleges across Bangladesh. The in-person admission process started on Sunday, 20 September, and will continue until 22 September.

Students must visit their respective colleges within the deadline and complete admission by submitting the required documents and prescribed fees.

A notice regarding the final admission process was published on the central Class 11 admission website on Saturday night, 19 September. The first migration results were also published at the same time.

For final admission, students are required to carry copies of their SSC marksheet or academic transcript, SSC examination admit card, recent passport-size colour photographs and the online admission confirmation slip. Colleges may also require active mobile numbers of students and guardians and a photocopy of the guardian’s National ID card.

Admission fees

Under the current admission policy, fees vary depending on the type and location of the college.

For MPO-listed colleges, the maximum admission fee is Tk 5,000 in Dhaka metropolitan area, Tk 3,000 in other metropolitan or divisional cities, Tk 2,000 in district headquarters and Tk 1,500 in upazilas and rural areas.

For non-MPO and partially MPO-listed colleges, the maximum fee in Dhaka is Tk 7,500 for the Bangla version and Tk 8,500 for the English version. In district headquarters, the limits are Tk 3,000 and Tk 4,000 respectively, while in upazilas and rural areas they are Tk 2,500 and Tk 3,000.

127,374 students failed to confirm

In the first phase, 980,815 students were selected for college admission. Of them, 853,441 completed the required confirmation within the deadline. As a result, the initial selections of 127,374 students were cancelled because they did not complete confirmation.

Meanwhile, 55,804 students changed colleges through the migration process. According to Inter-Education Board sources, 148,228 students did not apply online for Class 11 admission in the first phase, while another 14,415 applied but were not selected by any college. Among the latter group were 2,205 students who had achieved a GPA of 5.

Second opportunity for excluded students

The education authorities have said students who were excluded from the first phase due to non-confirmation or other reasons will have another opportunity to apply.

Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Dhaka Education Board, said students whose initial selections were cancelled or who could not complete confirmation should not be concerned. After completion of final admission for the first-phase selections, a second application round will be opened. Students whose selections were cancelled will be able to submit a new list of preferences.

He also said another opportunity would be provided after Class 11 admission and classes begin. Students who apply according to the rules will have the opportunity to secure admission, as more than 1.2 million to 1.3 million Class 11 seats remain vacant.

Under the current admission policy, 93% of total seats are open to all students based on merit. The remaining 7% are reserved under specific quotas, including 5% for children of freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters and 2% for children of officials and employees of the Ministry of Education and its subordinate offices.
