Deploying centralized digital attendance dashboards and real-time biometric access logs, the Ministry of Health has begun monitoring the physical presence of healthcare professionals across rural hospitals.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain reviewed digital attendance records directly from his ministry office in Dhaka on Monday, September 14.

During the operational session, the Minister analyzed live digital logs from upazila health complexes in Bhurungamari of Kurigram, Belabo and Raipura of Narsingdi, Aditmari of Lalmonirhat, Lama of Bandarban, and Derai of Sunamganj.

The automated verification flagged several unauthorized absences across medical and nursing cadres. The Minister immediately contacted the concerned Civil Surgeons and Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers, directing administrative authorities to issue formal show-cause notices based on the digital records.

"Ensuring reliable healthcare delivery requires uninterrupted presence of doctors, nurses, and medical staff at grassroots clinics," the Health Minister stated. He noted that regular surveillance through central digital monitoring consoles will continue from his ministry office to enforce institutional compliance nationwide.

Health Services Division Secretary Dr. A. N. M. Bazlur Rashid and Health Education and Family Welfare Division Secretary A. K. M. Benjamin Riazi attended the review. //DBTech/DAS/SE/EIC//
