The Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) and the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) have discussed strengthening collaboration to accelerate the country's BPO, IT-enabled services (ITES) and digital services sectors, with a strong focus on AI-driven skills, technology exports and employment generation.

The meeting was attended by BACCO Director Abdul Kader and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Md. Fazlur Rahman.

A key agenda item was the proposal to establish dedicated outsourcing spaces across the country's Hi-Tech Parks. The initiative is expected to provide BPO, ITES, outsourcing and freelancing companies with modern infrastructure and business support, enabling them to scale operations and compete more effectively in global markets.

The discussion also emphasized developing industry-driven talent, strengthening artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technology skills, and building a sustainable workforce development ecosystem through public-private partnerships.

Participants further explored strategies to expand technology-enabled service exports, create high-value employment opportunities and increase foreign exchange earnings by strengthening Bangladesh's BPO and ITES industries.

On 27 July, Monday, BACCO said closer collaboration between the government and the private sector would accelerate the country's digital economy and help position Bangladesh as a globally competitive destination for BPO, ITES and outsourcing services.

The association reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority to create new employment opportunities for young people, develop future-ready digital talent and drive sustainable economic growth through technology-enabled service exports.
