Bangladesh's economy relies heavily on neighborhood corner stores, small groceries, pharmacies, and tea stalls. For decades, this vast sector providing essential everyday goods has faced challenges, including erratic product availability, price fluctuations, transportation issues, and a lack of access to working capital.

To address these hurdles and build a resilient retail ecosystem, retail distribution platform PriyoShop is digitizing the nation’s MSME retail landscape. As of Sunday, July 26, 2026, the company successfully connected nearly 250,000 retail shopkeepers to top brands, modern supply chains, digital payment systems, and embedded finance during the first half of the year.

By building green logistics and AI-driven delivery infrastructure, PriyoShop has streamlined ordering and distribution while bridging retailers, brands, and financial institutions. Network expansions into remote areas, including Netrokona, Tarakanda, Sonargaon, Tongibari in Munshiganj, and Kaliganj in Gazipur, now allow rural retailers to order directly from manufacturers with quick delivery times.

PriyoShop Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ashikul Alam Khan stated, "Our goal is bigger than just running a business. By establishing new hubs and deploying technology, we are strengthening the foundational core of Bangladesh's retail sector. We are creating a future-ready ecosystem where small neighborhood retailers can grow effortlessly, and brands can connect directly with consumers."

Direct partnerships with major brands like Coca-Cola Bangladesh, Grameenphone, and Banglalink have eliminated intermediaries in product distribution. In recognition of its operational impact, PriyoShop won the "Best Retail Startup" and "Best B2B E-Commerce Platform" awards this year. The company continues to upskill its workforce with AI training while representing Bangladesh on international stages like UNDP initiatives, Web Summit, and Echelon.
