PriyoShop Showcases B2B Distribution Model at UN STI Forum 2026
Bangladeshi B2B retail-tech platform PriyoShop showcased its impactful distribution model at the UN STI Forum 2026 in New York. By empowering over 200,000 micro-retailers through technology and credit access while reducing 5,490 metric tons of carbon emissions, PriyoShop's model is contributing to 5 UN SDGs and serving as a blueprint for emerging markets.
Leading Bangladeshi B2B retail-tech platform PriyoShop has proudly represented the nation on the global stage at the UN 'Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Forum 2026' held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. PriyoShop’s Founder and CEO, Ashikul Alam Khan, attended the prestigious event as a distinguished representative. The forum brought together global ambassadors, senior UN Trade and Development officials, top Microsoft executives, and global entrepreneurs to address supply chain vulnerabilities hindering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) worldwide.
As one of the world's fastest-growing consumer markets, Bangladesh relies heavily on over 5 million small retail and grocery shops driving the local economy. However, these retailers constantly battle limited capital, fragmented supply chains, lack of institutional credit, and unstructured business frameworks. To bridge this gap, PriyoShop developed a technology-driven distribution network that directly connects domestic and international brands with neighborhood grocery stores, streamlining the entire ecosystem.
PriyoShop currently empowers over 200,000 grocery retailers across Bangladesh by offering embedded finance, direct brand sourcing, logistics infrastructure, retail intelligence, and digital commerce tools. This tech-driven approach directly advances five core United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 8, 9, 12, and 13). Furthermore, through eco-friendly energy utilization and optimized logistics, PriyoShop has successfully reduced carbon emissions by 5,490 metric tons, fostering green growth at the grassroots level.
Reflecting on this milestone achievement at the United Nations, PriyoShop CEO Ashikul Alam Khan stated that the supply chain solution they pioneered in Bangladesh has now evolved into an exemplary model for any emerging global market. He emphasized that PriyoShop remains committed to ensuring no small retailer is left behind due to a lack of supply, capital, or modern infrastructure. PriyoShop's prominent feature at the UN STI Forum marks a landmark chapter for Bangladesh on the global innovation map.
