Youth Climate Dialogue ‘Share Mandate, Share Future’ to Be Held in Dhaka
A youth-focused climate dialogue titled “Share Mandate, Share Future” will be held in the capital on Sunday, 14 December, to highlight young people’s perspectives on climate change. The event is being jointly organized by the Institute of Climate Change, Environment and Sustainability (ICCES) and the Department of Environment Science and Management of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
The panel discussion will take place at 4:00 pm at the IUB Lecture Gallery, located in Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka.
Independent University, Bangladesh Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Daniel W. Lund will attend the event as the chief guest. The keynote address will be delivered by PKSF Deputy Managing Director Dr. Fazle Rabbi Sadek Ahmed.
Panelists at the discussion include Advocate M. Hafizul Islam Khan, A. K. M. Sohel, Dr. S. M. Munjurul Hannan Khan, Professor Dr. Md. Hafizur Rahman, among others.
According to the organizers, the dialogue is essential for analyzing key decisions adopted at COP30 in Belém and integrating them into a shared and effective mandate aimed at building a climate-resilient Bangladesh.
