Secondary School Admission: Results Thru' Digital Lottery Just One Click Away
The digital lottery for student admission from classes 1 to 9 in government and non-government secondary schools is underway. The lottery began at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Thursday, 11 December, shortly after 10:00 am. The results were published after the lottery activities concluded at 2:00 pm at the same venue.
At the event, Professor Dr. Khan Mainuddin Al Mahmood Sohel, Director of the Secondary Wing of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), stated that students were selected automatically through software as part of the digital lottery. The selection process was carried out according to the Ministry of Education’s guidelines, based on available seats and the applicants’ preferred class, shift, and choice order.
He added that the lottery was conducted under the direct supervision of DSHE and the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). This method has ensured 100 percent accuracy and transparency in the selection process. It has restored public confidence and helped prevent admission-related irregularities and commercialization.
