DUET Vice-Chancellor to Attend Global Belt & Road Higher Education Exchange in Guangzhou

Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Gazipur Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Zainal Abedin is joining the “The 3rd Belt & Road Chinese University & Overseas Partner Exchange Conference” as a special guest to be held in Guangzhou, China on 27–28 November 2025.

Organized to enhance global higher education, research, cultural exchange, and international cooperation, the conference will bring together China’s top universities as well as higher education institutions, government agencies, and international education partners from around the world. The event will highlight China’s modern higher education framework along with advancements in medical science and healthcare technologies. It is expected to further strengthen mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and friendly relations among participating countries.

More than 100 renowned Chinese universities, over 20 healthcare institutions, and more than 300 international representatives from 60 countries will take part in the conference. Participants will include embassy and consulate officials, ministry representatives, university vice-chancellors and presidents, heads of colleges and schools, health experts, and other distinguished guests.

According to the organizing body, Guangzhou MalishaEdu Co., Ltd., foreign delegates will arrive in Guangzhou on 26 November. The opening ceremony, MoU signing, and publication launches will be held on 27 November, followed by a gala dinner in the evening. On 28 November, a daylong exhibition featuring 100 Chinese universities and 20 healthcare institutions will take place.

DUET expects that the Vice-Chancellor’s participation will further expand cooperation between China and Bangladesh in higher education, technology, innovation, and research. This engagement follows his recent participation in an international conference at Hangzhou Dianzi University.
