AI Ambitions: Anthropic Announces Ambitious American AI Centers
US-based artificial intelligence firm Anthropic has announced plans to construct new data centers in the United States with an investment of $50 billion. The cloud AI model developer stated that the facilities will be established in partnership with infrastructure company FluidStack in Texas and New York, with plans to expand to additional states in the future. The news was reported by Reuters.
The investment is expected to generate approximately 800 permanent jobs and 2,400 construction-related positions. The project is scheduled to be implemented in phases, with completion anticipated by 2026.
Anthropic noted that the initiative will strengthen the US technology sector and reinforce the Trump administration’s artificial intelligence strategy.
San Francisco-based Anthropic, founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees with support from Alphabet and Amazon, currently serves more than 300,000 corporate clients. The company is recognized as one of the world’s leading AI model developers.
