One of the world’s most anticipated video games, Grand Theft Auto VI, has been delayed once more. The new release date has now been set for November 19 next year, according to a report from TechCrunch.

The game was initially scheduled for release in the fall of 2025, which was later postponed to May 2026. In a statement released on Thursday, Rockstar Games announced that the development team has been granted an additional six months to refine and polish the title.

In its statement, Rockstar said, “We know this long wait is painful, but the extra few months will allow us to bring the game to the level of quality that you expect from us.”

Released in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V became the fastest-selling entertainment product in history, reaching $1 billion in sales within just three days. The trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, released in December 2023, also set viewership records on YouTube.

Rockstar did not provide specific reasons behind the recent delay. However, the company reportedly dismissed between 30 and 40 employees last week over allegations related to confidential information leaks.
