Instagram Introduces ‘Watch History’ to Revisit Reels
Popular social media platform Instagram has launched a new feature allowing users to revisit previously watched Reels videos. The new feature, named ‘Watch History’, has long been available on rival platform TikTok, reports TechCrunch.
With this addition, users can easily locate Reels that were interrupted or lost due to incoming calls or app closures. Instagram Head Adam Mosseri explained, “You can access your Watch History by going to your profile, then Settings > Your Activity. There, you will find a list of all previously viewed Reels.”
The feature also allows users to sort Reels by date—such as last week, last month, or a custom period—and even delete individual Reels if desired.
Instagram noted that users have long requested this functionality. “Now, finding lost videos will be easier than ever, enhancing the Reels experience and strengthening Instagram’s competitiveness against TikTok,” the company added.
