E-Passport Endeavor Embarks in Islamabad
The Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad inaugurated the e-passport service on Friday, September 19, marking a new chapter in fostering greater connectivity between the peoples of Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The launch ceremony was presided over by Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Md. Iqbal Hossain Khan, with Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nasimul Ghani, attending as the chief guest to formally inaugurate the e-passport service.
Commander Md. Shoaib Khan, Deputy Project Director of the “E-Passport and Automated Border Control Management Project,” along with expatriate Bangladeshis, embassy officials, staff members, and their families, were present at the event.
The program commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and concluded with a special prayer and supplication for the country’s continued peace and prosperity.
