Banglalink Boosts 4G Access with Budget-Friendly Smartphone Installment Plan
To expand 4G service coverage across the country, Banglalink has launched an initiative offering smartphones on a 9-month installment plan with just a 15% down payment of the actual price. The program has been introduced in collaboration with strategic partners – PalmPay, Genex, and iSmartu.
Speaking on the initiative, Mehedi Al Amin, Director of Marketing Operations at Banglalink, said, “At Banglalink, we are committed to accelerating digital inclusion by removing financial barriers to smartphone purchases. Through this initiative, we aim to make 4G smartphones more accessible, especially to those without credit cards or access to banking services. By bringing more people into the digital ecosystem, we are taking another step toward a digitally connected Bangladesh.”
PalmPay Limited’s Managing Director Jun Zheng stated, “We are delighted to partner with Banglalink in implementing this meaningful initiative. Smartphones can now be purchased in installments without requiring a credit card, making digital connectivity more accessible and bringing people from various socioeconomic backgrounds into the fold of digital inclusion. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce the digital divide in the future.”
Rezwanul Haque, CEO of iSmartu Technology Bangladesh Ltd., said, “We are playing a leading role in the smartphone market by offering popular brands like itel, Tecno, and Infinix. To make our smartphones more affordable, we have introduced EMI facilities. We believe our partnership with Banglalink will add a new dimension to customers' lives.” Customers can purchase their preferred smartphone from any Banglalink Center nationwide under the installment plan.
Regarding the application process, Banglalink stated that customers can easily apply through the PalmPay app, with the process completed in just 30 minutes. To streamline the initiative, MFI partner “Chetana, Paribesh O Manob Unnayan Sangstha” has joined the effort.
Under this offer, customers will receive 18 GB of internet for three months and will be automatically upgraded to the Orange Club Gold tier. Additionally, users can enjoy up to 150% bonus benefits through the MyBL app.
