Khaby Lame, the social media sensation who rose to global fame through TikTok, has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The 24-year-old influencer was born in Senegal, an African nation.

Khaby’s popularity has skyrocketed worldwide, with over 162 million followers on TikTok. Without speaking a word, he uses facial expressions and gestures to humorously highlight social realities and the complexities of everyday life, earning admiration from millions.

After assuming his role as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Khaby made his first public address on Friday, January 31. In his speech, directed at the youth of his home country, he stated that as part of his new responsibilities, he aims to identify various global challenges and contribute towards their solutions to the best of his ability.
