TikTok Takes Down Over 20 Million Videos in Bangladesh in Q3 2025
TikTok removed a total of 20,793,551 videos in Bangladesh during the third quarter of 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines, according to the platform’s latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report. The report claims that 99.8 percent of the content was removed proactively, while 97.3 percent of the videos were taken down within 24 hours.
The report covers the period from July to September 2025.
Globally, TikTok removed 204,534,932 videos during the same quarter, accounting for around 0.7 percent of all content uploaded to the platform. Of these, 186,608,081 videos were identified and removed through automated technologies. After review, 8,950,735 videos were reinstated on the platform. The report notes that 99.3 percent of the removed content was proactively detected, and 94.8 percent was taken down within 24 hours of identification.
To maintain platform safety and integrity, TikTok also removed 118,618,399 fake accounts during the quarter. In addition, 22,226,542 accounts identified as belonging to users under the age of 13 were taken down.
The report further shows that 30 percent of the removed videos contained sensitive content that did not comply with TikTok’s policies. Meanwhile, 15.7 percent violated platform safety rules and 2.7 percent breached privacy and security guidelines. Additionally, 32.9 percent of the removed videos were flagged for misinformation, while 34.4 percent were identified as edited or AI-generated content.
