To facilitate seamless access to historical data, tourist spots, educational institutions, and public-private services, the 'My Nalitabari' (My Nalitabari) website and mobile application have been officially launched in Nalitabari, a border upazila in Sherpur. Tech analysts note that localized web portals are critical for driving grassroots digital transformation and promoting e-governance across rural Bangladesh.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Abdul Malek inaugurated the web and mobile platform at the Nalitabari Upazila Parishad auditorium on Tuesday, October 27. Correspondent sources reported that this digital intervention aims to enhance local information access and streamline community-driven data management. Relevant authorities stated that the app leverages cloud database capabilities to connect citizens with administrative and local updates.

Rokunuzzaman Selim, founder of 'My Nalitabari', explained that the system was developed to centralize upazila-level information into a single interface. Registered users can submit local data and service listings, which are published online following administrator review and authentication. This crowdsourced digital framework allows students, local entrepreneurs, and residents to access and share verified local information. It is also designed to boost digital tourism for regional attractions situated along the Garo Hills basin, such as the Madhutila Eco Park.

Welcoming the initiative, UNO Md. Abdul Malek highlighted the necessity of localized digital repositories in the modern information age. He shared that while newcomers previously relied on general web searches for regional data, 'My Nalitabari' now offers a dedicated, verified digital archive for the upazila. The launch event was attended by 'My Nalitabari' co-founder Ruhul Amin, Nalitabari Upazila Press Club Convener Biplob Dey Ketu, Member Secretary Saiful Islam, alongside digital center entrepreneurs from 12 union parishads.
