Court issues arrest warrants against five Foodpanda officials after year-long probe
A Dhaka metropolitan court has issued arrest warrants against top management officials of Foodpanda and its subsidiary Pandamart over allegations of digital record deletion, falsified return invoices, and financial embezzlement
The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Dhaka passed the order on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, following a formal police investigation under sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 506 of the Penal Code
The accused individuals include Foodpanda Bangladesh Co-Founder and Managing Director Syeda Ambareen Reza, Co-Founder and Director Zubair Siddiqui, Pandamart Director Md. Tabrej Khan, Head of Category Dilara Faruque, and Senior Manager Mohammad Sajedul Haque
The case files stem from four separate complaints lodged by Shihab Mahmud Bashir, the proprietor of supply entities PNP and IPLE Distribution Network
The court issued these warrants following a year-long investigation by Gulshan Police Station that proved the authenticity of the charges. The plaintiff, Sihab Mahmud Bassir, said: "I am hopeful of justice as the investigation revealed the truth and the court issued the arrest warrant. I want exemplary punishment of the culprits and all my compensation. "
On the other hand, no immediate statement was available from the accused regarding the matter. Sources indicate that they are currently occupied with securing bail.
