State Minister Urges Content Creators and Youth to Lead Virtual Awareness

A comprehensive three-month nationwide "Digital Awareness Campaign" has been officially launched to curb the spread of Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. State Minister for Health Dr. M. A. Muhit has urged ordinary citizens, youth, and social media content creators to actively participate in spreading crucial preventative messages across platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
In an official message released on Monday (September 21), State Minister Dr. Muhit emphasized that controlling dengue solely through administrative drives or chemical fogging is impossible without personal and community-level awareness. Highlighting the extensive reach of social media, the international public health expert stated that timely information dissemination can drastically reduce dengue risks.
State Minister Muhit specifically called upon influencers and digital creators to leverage their creative skills by making awareness videos, short reels, infographics, and story updates. A considerable number of content creators have already collaborated with the Ministry of Health to support the initiative.
Over the next three months, the digital campaign will focus on educating the public regarding the destruction of mosquito breeding grounds, clearing stagnant water, recognizing early dengue symptoms, and seeking prompt medical attention. Citizens are requested to maintain cleanliness around their residential and commercial spaces while actively sharing preventative messages online.
