TRNB Elects Robin as President & Faruk as GS
- Telecom and Technology Reporters Network, Bangladesh (TRNB) elects new executive committee
- SM Masuduzzaman Robin elected President; Faruk Hossain named General Secretary

The Telecom and Technology Reporters Network, Bangladesh (TRNB), the premier forum for telecom and IT journalists in the country, has elected its new executive committee. Senior Journalist of Jamuna Television, S M Masuduzzaman Robin, has been elected as President, while Faruk Hossain of Daily Inqilab has been elected as General Secretary.
The election took place during the organization's bi-annual general meeting and Family Day held at a hotel in the beach city of Cox's Bazar on Thursday (July 30). Prior to this election, Robin served as the General Secretary, while Faruk served as the Treasurer of the organization.
In the newly formed 7-member executive board, Al-Amin Dewan from Techshohor (formerly Organizational Secretary) was elected as Treasurer, and Hasnain Imtiaz from Daily Samakal was elected as Organizational Secretary.
Furthermore, outgoing President Samir Kumar Dey (The Daily Ittefaq), along with Shuvo Khan (Somoy Television) and Mahmudul Hasan (The Daily Star), were elected as Executive Members.
The election process was conducted under the supervision of Chief Election Commissioner Abbas Faruque. Mohiuddin Mohammad Hasan Bhuiyan and Ismail Hossain served as Election Commissioners.
Following the announcement, the newly elected leadership reiterated their commitment to promoting objective, high-quality journalism in the ICT and telecommunications sector while prioritizing the welfare of member journalists in the coming tenure.
