Office order issued following decisions from BTRC's 309th Commission meeting
BTRC Promotes 8 Officers to Grade-6 Positions
- Eight BTRC Assistant Directors promoted to Senior Assistant Director positions
The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has promoted eight of its officers to Grade-6 positions. A maximum of three people from the Administration branch, two from Engineering and Operations, and one each from Legal and Licensing and Enforcement and Inspection received this promotion.
The promotions were sanctioned in accordance with the BTRC (Employee) Service Rules, 2022, based on the recommendations of the Promotion Committee and approved during the 309th Commission Meeting held on July 27, 2026. An official order signed by BTRC Director General (Admin) Md. Mehedi Ul-Shahid was issued in this regard on July 30, 2026.
According to the order, the officers have been promoted from Assistant Director/Private Secretary roles to 'Senior Assistant Director' under Grade-6 of the National Pay Scale 2015 (Pay Scale BDT 35,500 – 67,010). The promoted officers are Mohammad Rubel Miah (Finance, Accounts & Revenue), Shahadat Hossain & Amina Parveen (Engineering & Operations), Md. Zobayer Hossain (Legal & Licensing), Kallol Barua (Engineering & Inspection), and Md. Ariful Islam, Md. Mofijul Islam, & Md. Robiul Islam (Administration). The order takes effect from the date of joining, requiring promoted officers to report directly to the BTRC Chairman.
