Amazon Unveils Batman: Caped Crusader Game for Luna
Amazon is launching a new Batman game to coincide with the second season of Prime Video's animated series 'Batman: Caped Crusader.' Titled 'Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles,' the game will be available exclusively on Amazon Luna, the company's cloud gaming platform.
Detective-Focused Co-op Gameplay
Rather than being a traditional action game, Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles is designed as a cooperative adventure centered on Batman's detective skills.
Gameplay: Up to four players can team up to investigate Gotham City's criminal underworld by analyzing evidence, uncovering clues, and completing a variety of detective-themed mini-games.
Episodes and Villains: The game features 11 episodes, with Batman facing iconic villains including Scarecrow, Dollmaker, Babyface, and the Joker, who appears in the series for the first time.
Original Voice Cast Returns
The game features the original voice actors from the animated series. Matthew Needham reprises his role as the Joker, while Hamish Linklater returns as Batman and Michelle C. Bonilla voices Detective Montoya.
Release Date and Availability
The game will launch on July 31, the same day all 10 episodes of the animated series premiere on Prime Video. Prime members will be able to play the game at no additional cost.
In the UK, Amazon has integrated Luna directly into the Prime Video app on Fire TV devices, allowing viewers to jump into the game immediately after watching the series without switching apps. The game will also be playable on LG and Samsung smart TVs, web browsers, and through smartphones used as controllers.
