Artificial intelligence (AI) chip manufacturer Nvidia has set a $4 million cash bonus target for its Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang for the fiscal year 2027. The information was disclosed in a regulatory filing on Friday, March 6, according to Reuters.

The company’s compensation committee approved the new variable compensation plan on March 2. Under the plan, executives’ cash bonuses will depend on achieving specific revenue targets for the fiscal year ending January 31, 2027.

According to a regulatory filing published last May, Huang’s total compensation in 2025 was $49.9 million. Most of this amount came from stock awards valued at $38.8 million.

Recently, Nvidia reported better-than-expected results for the January quarter and projected current-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates. The forecast reflects expectations that major technology companies will continue heavy spending on AI processors.

The world’s most valuable company, Nvidia has forecast $78 billion in sales for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, nearly double compared with the same period a year earlier. The company’s share price has risen more than 600 percent over the past two years. Since the beginning of 2026, the stock has climbed nearly 25 percent, reaching a record high on Monday.

A company spokesperson said, “Under Jensen’s leadership, Nvidia has ushered in the AI era and created unprecedented value for shareholders. Our executive compensation program is linked to performance and aligned with the interests of investors.”
