Gemini Gains Ground as Monthly Users Top 750 Million
Google’s artificial intelligence–powered chatbot Gemini has reached a new milestone in user adoption. According to the company’s financial report for the fourth quarter of 2025, the Gemini app has surpassed 750 million monthly active users, signaling its rapid acceptance at the global consumer level. TechCrunch reported the development.
In the previous quarter, Gemini’s monthly active users stood at around 650 million, indicating substantial growth within a short span of time. By comparison, Meta AI currently has approximately 500 million monthly users, while Gemini still trails behind its leading rival, ChatGPT.
Industry estimates suggest that by the end of 2025, ChatGPT’s monthly user base stood at roughly 810 million.
Gemini’s growth has accelerated further following the recent launch of Gemini 3. Google claims this latest version is its most advanced model to date, capable of delivering far deeper, more nuanced, and refined responses than earlier iterations.
Google Chief Executive Officer Sundar Pichai stated that the rollout of Gemini 3 in AI Mode has played a positive role in the company’s overall growth trajectory.
Meanwhile, Google has introduced an affordable subscription plan called Google AI Plus, priced at $7.99 per month. Although the service is still relatively new and has not yet influenced the current quarter’s financial results, the company expects it to support further user growth in the coming months.
Gemini’s success comes at a time when Alphabet has, for the first time, surpassed $400 billion in annual revenue. According to Google, increased investment in artificial intelligence and growing demand for new technologies have been the key drivers behind this achievement.
