Smart Awards Scholarships to 111 Students in Ramganj

Smart Academy and Smart Foundation, associate organisations of leading technology company Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd., have awarded

to 111 meritorious students from Ramganj Upazila in Lakshmipur district. The scholarships were presented at an event held on Tuesday, January 6th, at the Smart Academy premises.

Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Managing Director of Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd., graced the event as the chief guest. He handed over scholarship cheques, certificates, and gifts to the students.

The scholarship recipients include 78 students from Class V and 33 students from Class VIII. In addition to a total of INR 5 lakhs in cash scholarships, each student received a certificate and a technology-related book as a gift. Furthermore, the top three meritorious students in each of the two categories were awarded special prizes, including 2 laptops, 2 tablet PCs, and a bundle of educational materials.

Speaking at the event, Mohammad Zahirul Islam stated, “Approximately seven hundred students from 95 schools in Ramganj Upazila participated in our scholarship examination on December 12, 2025. Following a rigorous and transparent evaluation process based on merit, 111 students were selected for the scholarships.”

The event was presided over by Sheikh Mahbubur Rahman, Principal of Smart Academy. Special guests included Sharifulah Ash Shams, Ramganj Upazila Academic Advisor, Md. Saiful Islam, Ramganj Upazila Assistant Education Officer, and Khairul Bashar Salim, Chairman of Smart Distribution.

Speakers at the event encouraged the students to focus more on their studies and expressed hope that Smart's initiatives to promote education would continue in the future.
