YouTube Unveils Year-End Recap Feature
Dec 3, 2025 21:22

YouTube has launched a new year-end summary feature, similar to Spotify’s “Wrapped” and Apple Music’s “Replay.” The Google-owned platform announced that YouTube Recap is now rolling out in North America and will be available to users worldwide by the end of this week, according to GSM Arena.

Once available, Recap can be accessed on the YouTube homepage or the “You” tab. According to YouTube, the feature will be based on a user’s 2025 watch history and will provide a personalized summary highlighting your interests, favorite topics, deeply viewed content, and notable moments throughout the year.

Up to 12 cards will be displayed in the Recap, showing your most-watched channels, preferred content, changes in viewing patterns over the year, and even a fun analysis of your “personality type.”

For avid music listeners, the Recap will also highlight top artists and songs, favorite genres, podcasts, and even international music listening habits via the YouTube Music app.

This feature essentially serves as a personal diary for users, reflecting the time spent on YouTube over the course of the year.
