JUST Hosts Workshop on Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy

Aiming to enhance the skills of teachers and students in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized a workshop titled “Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy: Applications in Modern Research.”

The event took place on Tuesday, October 28, at the virtual classroom of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Academic Building, organized by the Genome Center of JUST. The workshop was graced by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid as the chief guest.

During his address, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid said, “Workshops like this play a vital role in developing students’ technical competence. To enhance research at JUST, we are not only modernizing our laboratories but also planning to organize more such training programs to further improve the skills of both students and faculty members.”

The workshop was attended by Treasurer Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun and Deputy Director of the Genome Center Dr. Md. Alauddin as special guests.

The training session was conducted by Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Assistant Professor of the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, and Dipankar Chakraborty, Lab Technician at the Genome Center. Assistant trainers included Md. Ali Ahsan Setu, Assistant Technical Officer, and P.A. Masudur Rahman of the Genome Center.
