Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn has reported record revenue for the third quarter of this year, driven primarily by increasing demand for artificial intelligence products. However, the company’s earnings slightly missed market forecasts, according to Reuters.

Foxconn, the largest server manufacturer for NVIDIA and the main iPhone assembler for Apple, posted revenue of NT$2.057 trillion (approximately US$67.7 billion), marking an 11% increase compared to the same period last year. While this figure fell short of market expectations of NT$2.134 trillion, Foxconn emphasized that the results surpassed its internal projections.

“When calculated in US dollars, revenue growth reached 16.1%,” the company noted. Despite growth in AI server and network product sales, there was a slight decline in iPhone and other smart consumer electronics revenue, largely due to currency exchange rate fluctuations.

Looking ahead, Foxconn stated, “Revenue is expected to continue growing in the fourth quarter due to increased sales during the year-end festive season. However, global economic conditions and currency market volatility will need to be closely monitored.”

The results underscore Foxconn’s strong position in AI-driven electronics manufacturing, even as it navigates the challenges of global economic uncertainty and exchange rate fluctuations.
