Online applications for first-phase admissions into institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education will be accepted until August 11, while applications for institutions under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) will remain open until August 14. Fintech platform bKash announced on Thursday, August 31, that students can pay both admission and registration fees through its platform.

According to a statement, the application fee for XI class admission this year has been set at BDT 220, and the registration fee is BDT 335. In both cases, an additional BDT 3 will be charged as an online payment processing fee. For technical institutions, the admission fee starts at BDT 162, depending on course type and number, while registration fees range between BDT 238 and BDT 395.

Notably, several institutions—including Notre Dame College and Holy Cross College—are conducting admissions through their own procedures, and bKash has also enabled payment for those as well. Applicants are advised to check the respective college websites for specific application procedures.

bKash is also offering discount coupons of up to BDT 100 for those who pay their XI class or technical admission application fees through its platform. The offer includes two coupons worth BDT 50 each, valid for five days. These can be redeemed at selected KFC and Pizza Hut outlets on a minimum purchase of BDT 500 via bKash payment.

To apply for XI class admission, students must first sign up at https://xiclassadmission.gov.bd by submitting the required information. Payment can be made by opening the bKash app, navigating to the ‘Education Fee’ section, selecting ‘XI Class Admission,’ and entering the board name, passing year, roll number, and mobile number. After confirming the amount and entering the bKash PIN, applicants will receive a confirmation message along with a digital receipt, which should be saved for future reference. Once the fee is successfully paid, the applicant must revisit the website and complete the application process.

Similarly, applicants for institutions under the technical board must access the ‘Education Fee’ section in the bKash app, select ‘BTEB,’ and enter the payment code in the format . After verifying the fee amount and entering the PIN, a confirmation message and digital receipt will be issued. Applicants must then complete the application process by visiting http://btebadmission.gov.bd/website/.

Students who are not selected in the first phase will have two additional opportunities to apply using the same process. Details about second and third phase applications can be found on the respective education boards’ websites. According to board policy, students who passed SSC or equivalent exams in the current academic year or within the past two years are eligible to apply for admission.
