S-Bangla Airlines has dismissed as “completely false and fictitious” a recent news report published in a Nepali media outlet claiming that a Nepali court had issued a verdict against the airline.

In a statement issued on Saturday, July 26, the airline asserted that no Nepali court had issued any ruling against US-Bangla Airlines in recent times.

“The report published by a newspaper called The Kathmandu Post is baseless,” the statement read. “It is inappropriate for any Bangladeshi media outlet to publish such news without a verified court document, relying solely on an article from a national daily of another country based on inaccurate information.”

Md. Kamrul Islam, General Manager (Public Relations) of US-Bangla Airlines, stated in the press release that legal action would soon be taken against The Kathmandu Post for publishing such a report.

It is worth noting that in March 2018, a US-Bangla Airlines flight crashed while attempting to land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, resulting in the deaths of 51 out of 71 people on board. The airport is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous in the world, especially during landings, where pilots face significant challenges. Several other fatal accidents have previously occurred at this airport.
