Musk’s 'America Party' Gains Momentum with Billionaire Backing
Within a day of announcing the formation of a new political platform called the “America Party,” Elon Musk has attracted the interest of high-profile billionaires. Musk’s post on X (formerly Twitter), pledging to offer voters freedom beyond the two-party system, received supportive responses from investor Mark Cuban and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, according to Engadget.
Mark Cuban stated that he is working with the Center for Competitive Democracy and could assist the party in gaining ballot access. Scaramucci, meanwhile, expressed interest in discussing the initiative with Musk on X.
The Tesla CEO claimed that the newly proposed party aims to contest and win “two to three Senate seats and eight to ten House seats.”
However, it remains unclear whether Musk has officially filed the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to register the party. Some documentation has surfaced, but their validity has yet to be confirmed.
