bKash Brings Back Bonus for Eid Remittance Recipients

With Eid approaching, mobile financial service provider bKash has launched a special campaign offering prizes and guaranteed discounts to remittance recipients in Bangladesh. According to the announcement, the top daily recipient of remittance in a bKash account will receive a Hisense deep freezer, while the second-highest will be awarded a 43-inch Hisense smart TV.

Additionally, during this campaign—running until June 5—anyone receiving remittance of BDT 10,000 or more (excluding the 2.5% government incentive) will automatically receive a guaranteed discount coupon worth BDT 500. All coupons, including those for the fridge and TV winners, will be automatically credited to the recipients' bKash accounts.

Each customer is eligible to win either the fridge or TV, and receive the discount coupon only once during the campaign period.

The coupons can be redeemed when purchasing Hisense fridges or TVs from Fair Electronics Smart Plaza outlets nationwide by making payment through bKash. Further details are available on bKash’s official Facebook page and website.

In addition to the campaign benefits, remittance recipients can now cash out money at lower costs. Customers can withdraw funds from remittance at over 2,500 ATMs of leading commercial banks across the country at a rate of only BDT 7 per thousand taka by using the bKash app or dialing *247#.

Moreover, cashing out from bKash agent points has become more economical, with customers able to withdraw up to BDT 50,000 per month at a rate of BDT 14.90 per thousand from two selected ‘favorite agents’.

Apart from cash withdrawals, recipients of remittance can also use bKash for a variety of services from the comfort of their homes. These include payments for utilities such as gas, electricity, and water bills, sending money, mobile recharge, paying educational or government service fees, and even making donations, zakat, and fitrah payments.
